Qualifying Rounds on 23rd November 2010 (maximum 30 minutes)
• Not marked: a very short piece or improvisation permitting the acquaintance with the instrument (2 minutes maximum).
• Any Prelude and Fugue from "Das Wohltemperiert Klavier" by J.S.Bach
• A complete sonata chosen by the candidate among the three following composers : MOZART, HAYDN or BBETHOVEN
• A Study by CHOPIN chosen by the candidate.
- Semi Final on 24th November 2010 (maximum 30 minutes)
• Intermezzo in A flat Major by Francis POULENC*
• A work by Frederic CHOPIN chosen among Scherzi, Sonatas, Ballads, Preludes, Fantasias, Polonaises.
- Final Recital on 25th November 2010 (maximum 1 h 10 minutes)
Free recital with four imposed works:
• Presto in B flat Major by Francis POULENC*
• Two free chosen improvisations by Francis POULENC*
• A Prelude and Fugue by Dimitri CHOSTAKOVITCH
A romantic work which was performed at the Semi Final can be replayed at the Final.
- Final Concerto on 27th November 2010
• Imposed work : Concerto in D Minor K 466 Nr 20 by W. MOZART
With the Limoges and Limousin Symphonic Orchestra
All the works must be performed from memory
The competition will take place in three close towns: Brive, Limoges and Tulle
